A 28-year-old man has been arrested following a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred on Friday, Nov. 13 around 7:00 p.m.
At the intersection of 1900 Moody Street and 2500 Harry Hines Boulevard, a black Nissan Maxima ran a red light and struck a Nissan truck that had a green light. The Maxima continued to travel and struck a man and woman standing on a nearby sidewalk.
One victim, a 26-year-old man from Arlington, was taken to Baylor Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The 26-year-old woman also struck in the wreck was listed in critical condition, but then died from her injuries on Saturday morning. The couple was walking to the nearby American Airlines Center to watch the basketball game when they were hit by the driver.
According to Dallas Police, Kevin Christman, 28, was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and now faces two charges of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle.
